Maguire, PhD, and colleagues have developed an adeno-associated virus capsid that transduces a broad area of the striatum upon intracranial injection in mice and a truncated human choline acetyltransferase promoter that allows efficient, selective transduction of cholinergic neurons.

Casey A. Maguire, PhD, is a gene delivery expert and associate investigator in the Mass General Research Institute at Massachusetts General Hospital and an associate professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School.
