On April 1, 2021, the Department of Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital held a virtual Harvard Medical Grand Rounds on COVID-19. This event was presented by Harvard members of the Massachusetts Consortium on Pathogen Readiness (MassCPR). Mass General's Richelle Charles, MD, physician in the Division of Infectious Diseases, Bruce Walker, MD, co-faculty director of Mass CPR and director of the Ragon Institute of Mass General, MIT and Harvard, Gaurav Gaiha, MD, D Phil, of the Ragon Institute and Division of Gastroenterology, and other members from the Boston medical community, discussed the evolution of the pandemic, including vaccines and treatment. 

The session was moderated by Katrina Armstong, MD, physician-in-chief in the Department of Medicine at Mass General. Other speakers included Arlene Sharpe, MD, PhD, co-faculty director of Mass CPR and co-director of the Evergrande Center for Immunologic Diseases at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, George Daley, MD, PhD, dean of Harvard Medical School, Jonathan Li, MD of the Division of Infectious Diseases at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Jonathan Abraham, MD, PHD, co-director of the MassCPR Therapeutics Working Group and of the Division of Infectious Diseases at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Dan H. Barouch, MD, PhD, co-director of the MassCPR Vaccine Working Group and director of the Center for Virology and Vaccine Research at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and Andrea Carfi, PhD, co-director, MassCPR Vaccine Working Group and VP for Infectious Disease Research at Moderna.
