Daniel B. Polley, PhD, and colleagues have developed an automated, quantitative system for assessing tinnitus and identifying false claims of the condition through self-directed, computerized testing that asks subjects to characterize the perceptual qualities of their tinnitus.
Biography
Daniel B. Polley, PhD, holds the Amelia Peabody Chair in Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery and is director of the Lauer Tinnitus Research Center at Mass Eye and Ear. Dr. Polley is a professor of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at Harvard Medical School.
