Aortic Aneurysms and Dissections: What Every Clinician Should Know
Co-directed by Massachusetts General Hospital leading experts, this one-day live virtual CME course on December 2, 2022, provides the fundamentals of diagnosis and treatment for aortic aneurysms, chronic aortic disease, aortic dissection, and other acute aortic syndromes. The comprehensive sessions will cover patient risk factors, evaluation, imaging, and current approaches for initial management and long-term follow-up of patients with aortic disease.
This one-day live virtual CME course on December 2, 2022, co-directed by Arminder Jassar, MBBS, Matthew Eagleton, MD, and Eric Isselbacher, MD, of Massachusetts General Hospital, provides the fundamentals of diagnosis and treatment for aortic aneurysms, chronic aortic disease, aortic dissection, and other acute aortic syndromes. The comprehensive sessions will cover patient risk factors, evaluation, imaging, and current approaches for initial management and long-term follow-up of patients with aortic disease. Participants will gain an evidence base of medical knowledge to manage patients with aortic disease and know when to refer for specialized treatment.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Discuss the etiology, genetics, and identification of aortic aneurysms
- Identify indications for surgery
- Identify aortic dissection and other acute aortovascular syndromes
- Improve management and surveillance of patients with aortic disease
