Oncologists at Massachusetts General Hospital are developing ways to use a lung cancer medication off-label for advanced, recurrent medullary thyroid cancer.
Biography
Tom Roberts, MD, MBA, is an oncologist in the Center for Head and Neck Cancers. He is also an Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Roberts earned a BA with Distinction at the University of Virginia, and then earned his medical degree at Stanford University School of Medicine and an MBA at Stanford Graduate School of Business. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston and his fellowship in Medical Oncology at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute / Massachusetts General Hospital.
Dr. Roberts’ clinical and research interests are in head and neck oncology, including oral, oropharyngeal, laryngeal, nasopharyngeal, salivary gland, and thyroid malignancies. His research focuses on the epidemiology of head and neck cancers and approaches to improve the quality of care for patients with cancer. He had received numerous awards and recognitions for his scholarship and research.
