Miguel C. Santoscoy, PhD, Casey A. Maguire, PhD, and colleagues have developed an adeno-associated virus capsid that transduces a broad area of the striatum upon intracranial injection in mice and a truncated human choline acetyltransferase promoter that allows efficient, selective transduction of cholinergic neurons.

Miguel C. Santoscoy, PhD, is a research fellow in the Department of Neurology and Molecular Neurogenetics Unit at Massachusetts General Hospital.
