  • Massachusetts General Hospital orthopedic surgeons have developed a rat model in which gait and weightbearing are markers of recovery after repair of tibia fracture. Their long-term aim is to use the model to compare locally non-opioid analgesics to current pain management methods for long-bone fracture.

Biography

Yingfang Fan, MD, PhD, is research staff at the Harris Orthopaedics Laboratory at Massachusetts General Hospital and an instructor in investigation in the Technology Implementation Research Center at the Mass General Research Institute. Dr. Fan is an instructor in Orthopedic Surgery at Harvard Medical School.
