Park, PhD, MPH, and colleagues found the eight-week Stress Management and Resiliency Training: Relaxation Response Resiliency Program is helpful to people who have lived with chronic cancer for years, not just recently diagnosed patients treated with curative intent.
Biography
As a behavioral researcher, my area of excellence is designing and testing behavioral interventions for medical populations, with a primary focus on integrating systems-based behavioral interventions into oncology settings. I am Director of the Health Promotion and Resiliency Intervention Research Program. I currently direct the behavioral research for the Massachusetts General Hospital Tobacco Research & Treatment Center, the Benson-Henry Institute for Mind Body Medicine, and the Mass General Cancer Survivorship Program. I also have expertise in developing and analyzing qualitative research to inform behavioral intervention and survey development and direct the Qualitative and Mixed Methods Research Unit for the Mass General Division of Clinical Research. My clinical work focuses on cancer survivorship.
