Park, PhD, MPH, and colleagues found the eight-week Stress Management and Resiliency Training: Relaxation Response Resiliency Program is helpful to people who have lived with chronic cancer for years, not just recently diagnosed patients treated with curative intent.
Biography
Dr. Lucy Finkelstein-Fox is a licensed staff psychologist in the Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatric Oncology Programs at Massachusetts General Hospital. She is a member of the Psychology faculty in the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School (HMS) and is a faculty member in the Health Promotion and Resiliency Intervention Research (HPRIR) Center in the Mongan Institute at Mass General. Dr. Finkelstein-Fox received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology (with concentrations in Health Psychology and Quantitative Research Methods) at the University of Connecticut and completed her pre- and post-doctoral fellowships at Mass General/Harvard Medical School. Her clinical practice focuses on stress management, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and mind-body interventions for individuals impacted by cancer and other chronic medical illnesses.
