Targeting Lipid Synthesis Efficacious in Glioblastoma Mouse Models
Katharina M. Eyme, Alessandro Sammarco, PhD, Christian E. Badr, PhD, and colleagues found YTX-7739, an orally available stearoyl coenzyme A desaturase 1 inhibitor, triggered lipotoxicity in glioblastoma stem-like cells, and with or without temozolomide, it was efficacious in mouse models of glioblastoma.
Biography
Christian E. Badr, PhD, is principal investigator of the Badr Lab in the Department of Neurology of Massachusetts General Hospital and an assistant professor of neurology at Harvard Medical School.
