Biography

Michael Mannstadt, MD, is Chief of the Endocrine Unit at Massachusetts General Hospital and Associate Professor of Medicine, Harvard Medical School, both in Boston.  He is a Board Certified Endocrinologist.

He earned his MD from Jena University in Germany. He completed his residency in Medicine, Fellowship in Endocrinology and Chief Residency in Medicine, all at Mass General and Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Mannstadt's clinical interest focuses on disorders of mineral metabolism and bone diseases.  His research concentrates on the basic and translational aspects of parathyroid hormone with a particular interest in hypoparathyroidism.
