Biography

Dr. Nikolaos K. Paschos is an experienced pediatric orthopedic surgeon and researcher specialized in sports medicine, with a particular interest in arthroscopic surgery of the knee, hip and shoulder joints, in sport injuries and in regenerative medicine.

Dr. Paschos received his medical degree with honors from the University of Ioannina Medical School, Greece. He completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery from the University Hospital of Ioannina, Greece and Thomas Jefferson University. Dr. Paschos completed a fellowship in Orthopedic Sports Medicine at University of Pennsylvania Hospital and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, a fellowship in Pediatric Orthopedic Sports Medicine at the Boston Children’s Hospital, and a fellowship in Orthopedic Sports Medicine at the New England Baptist Hospital. Prior to joining Massachusetts General Hospital, he served as a clinical instructor in Orthopedics at Tufts University School of Medicine.

Dr. Paschos serves as an Associate Editor for the Arthroscopy Journal and he is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Arthroscopy Association of North America, American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopedic Sports Medicine, and European Society for Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy. He has served in the Executive Board of the European Federation of National Associations of Orthopedics and Traumatology (EFORT) and also as a member of the Steering Board of the EFORT Educational Committee. He has served as president and board member of the Federation of Orthopedic Trainees in Europe. He was the recipient of the Patellofemoral Traveling Fellowship and the International Sports Medicine Fellowship Scholarship.

Dr. Paschos has served as a member of the medical team of sports teams of various levels, including the Boston Celtics, UMass Boston, UPenn Athletics, Merrimack College, Upper Darby and Dexter Southfield Schools.
