Phenotype of Severe COVID-19 Seems to Change Over Time
Severe COVID-19 may shift from being primarily lung-localized to a systemic disease, Massachusetts General Hospital researchers say. They noted early peaks in alveolar markers but later peaks in endothelial markers associated with renin–angiotensin system dysfunction, cardiac and kidney injury, and 28-day outcome.
