Superior Hypogastric Plexus Block Does Not Reduce Short-Term Pain After Laparoscopic Hysterectomy
In the first randomized trial of its kind, Nisse V. Clark, MD, MPH, of the Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery Center, and colleagues found superior hypogastric plexus block no better than standard care in reducing pain within two hours after laparoscopic hysterectomy or on postoperative days 1–6.
