After surgery for ischemic mitral regurgitation, progression of unrepaired, nonsevere tricuspid regurgitation is uncommon, but when it occurs it is associated with high rates of clinical events, according to an analysis by Judy Hung, MD, and Philippe Bertrand, MD, PhD, of the Division of Cardiology, and colleagues.
