Case Report: Imaging Findings in COVID-19 Muscle Denervation Atrophy
Sara Bahouth, MD and Daniel Rosenthal, MD, of the Division of Musculoskeletal Imaging and Intervention, and colleagues have reported the first imaging findings in a patient with COVID-19 neuromuscular disease.
Biography
Dr. Rosenthal is a world-renowned musculoskeletal radiologist who specializes in diagnosing and treating the causes of muscle and joint pain such as osteoporosis, bone fractures, bone tumors and arthritis. He is widely recognized as an expert on the skeletal manifestation of Gaucher’s disease and a pioneer of minimally invasive treatments for osteoid osteoma. His recent work has focused on establishing a nationally adopted clinical decision support system to guide the appropriate use of imaging.
