Using location tracking data provided by smartphones, James D. Berry, MD, MPH, of the Neurological Clinical Research Institute at Massachusetts General Hospital, and colleagues documented behavioral changes among patients with ALS after the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Biography
Dr. Anna Beukenhorst is a healthcare informatician with a broad data science skillset and interdisciplinary background. She holds a PhD in Digital Epidemiology and Data Science from the University of Manchester and an MSc in Healthcare Informatics from the University of Amsterdam. In graduate school, she specialized in data science methods for converting complex data from smartphones and smartwatches into clinically meaningful exposures and outcomes. At the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health she focuses on statistical methods for real-time analysis of health and behavior data from smartphones in the Onnela Lab.
