Oxytocin, Investigational Obesity Drug, Impacts Reward Pathways for Food
A study led by Liya Kerem, MD, MSc, shows that oxytocin nasal spray can modulate the reward pathways in the brain involved in food intake. This research could bring oxytocin a step closer to being used as a new obesity treatment.
Biography
Dr. Kerem is a graduate of the Technion Israel Institute of Technology and completed her residency at the Hadassah Mt. Scopus Hospital (Hebrew University of Jerusalem).
