Comprehensive Heart Failure Management in 2022

This Comprehensive Heart Failure symposium will provide practical insights for all clinicians who manage patients with heart failure. Massachusetts General Hospital leaders will address state-of-the-art approaches and highlight best practices for cardiovascular team-based care across the entire spectrum of heart failure.

This Comprehensive Heart Failure symposium will provide practical insights for all clinicians who manage patients with heart failure. Massachusetts General Hospital leaders from the Corrigan Minehan Heart Center will address state-of-the-art approaches to heart failure, including emerging heart failure biomarkers, percutaneous treatment options, contemporary heart failure clinical trials, and more. The course highlights best practices for cardiovascular team-based care in the management of patients across the entire spectrum of heart failure.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Explain the pathophysiology of heart failure and describe the comprehensive assessment of heart failure diagnostics
  • Determine and manage co-morbidities that contribute to heart failure
  • Describe current evidence-based medical and device therapeutics for heart failure
  • Recognize the importance of co-managing heart failure patients with APPs and partner hospitals for advanced heart failure, as well as timing of palliative care and ongoing need for equity
